Used Baby Items and a Night Out April 14, 2008

If anyone has any used baby items they’d like to sell, let me know! Let’s just say starting from scratch and looking at the retail price tags can be a little overwhelming!

Well, Jav and I went to the Diversity Dinner at Kent State last night. It was so awesome! The tickets were normally $150/person but we got to go for free because our dean sponsored a table. There were buffet tables set up with foods from almost every region – Latin, African, Mediterranean, Soul Food, Asian, American Desserts, etc, etc. We sat at a table with some nice people from my work and had a great time. I even got out and boogied with my big belly to the Electric Slide! It was nice to get dressed up and go out for the evening. I’m really trying to appreciate these “alone moments” before Eli comes in August. And, the fact that it was free made it that much more enjoyable!

sounds fun! is someone throwing you a baby shower?? i’d love to get in on that action but i don’t want to step on anyone’s toes either. maybe you have family doing that for you. either way, let me know! We have our ultrasound thursday. i’m trying to stay determined to not find out the gender. :) we’ll see.

Hey Rach, I found your blog off your brother’s page. You know, we do have double of everything. By the time Eli is born, the twins won’t need some of it. They’ll be 7 months old. You are welcome to borrow/have some things. I’m not sure if I’m saving baby gear or getting rid of it. I don’t want to say to soon that we are done! You just never know. I think we are, who knows! Don’t forget, you’ll have a baby shower. You will get a lot. I did. God will supply those needs! You can still look at my maternity clothes too!

Yes, I’m having a baby shower and I know I just need to trust God to supply our needs. :) My mom and Ashlee are really the ones organizing it, but I’ll let them know that if they need help to call you. Thank you! I can’t wait to see you guys next Thursday … and to find out if you found out what the baby is. :) I wouldn’t have been able to, but you’re more stubborn than I am. Love you.
