Javier and I have been married for 3 years today! I can’t believe it – it’s gone so fast. Marriage is definitely work, but we both honestly agree that each year has gotten better and better. We drove home from Michigan yesterday, stopped at Hackers for dinner, then picked up brownies and ice cream on the way home for dessert. It was perfect. I am so blessed to be having a child with such a loving, kind and tender man. He’s not perfect, but the longer we’re together the more I realize why God brought us together in the first place. Seeing him with Jaden and Parker reminded me of what a good daddy he’s going to be to our son.
New Niece, Same Great Nephew March 23, 2008
We’re in Michigan right now visiting my brother Dan, his wife Suzanne, my nephew Jaden and my brand new (3 week-old) litte niece Parker!
Parker is precious and Jaden is funny as ever. Today I was getting ready in the bathroom and had my Kent State sweater hanging on the door knob. Jaden asked what the letters spelled. I told him what it said and this was his response:
“Oh yeah, well I like Ohio State better than Michigan and if anyone tries to tell me anything else (putting his hands over his ears), I say ‘lalala’ and don’t listen to them.”
They train him well!
